IM+ Pro is a instant messenger hub, where you can sync all of your I am accounts. It Allows you to sign in to many different accounts at one time, all in one place. Here's a list of the different IM services you can add to your account: Skype, MSN, Facebook, Google Talk, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, VKontakte, Yandex IM, Jabber and MySpace.

IM+ Pro has a setting called, Google Push Mode. Google push mode allows IM+ Pro to run in the background in order to save battery power. This mood is activated upon exiting the IM+ program and it is active by default. So if you don't want it, all you have to  go in to settings and uncheck the google push mode

I like that you can have all of your instant messenger account in one place. It can get crazy having separate apps for each individual IM account. This is a very good app the brings harmony to the IM world.

That being said, I can't help but point out the $9.99 price for this app. $9.99 is way too much to pay for any app. If you don't get this today for free, then I wouldn't get it it all

This game is a lot like Angry Birds, with just a little twist. For starters, it's only one bird and second you get to move the bird a more then one time.

Well... if you like Angry Birds then you will like this and if you don't like Angry Birds then you might not like this game. But it is a fun game to pass the time and it's free today.

I think I will give Early Bird a 4 out of 5

I like to play a game of chess every now and then, but sometimes it's hard to find someone to play with. That's why chess apps are the best.

Chesspresso is not a bad game, it has just about everything you need to have a fun game. The one thing this app is missing a AI opponent option. If you have played a chess app you have played Chesspresso.

Now what makes Chesspresso standout is not a good thing. It cost $6, if you do not get it for free today. It also cost at least $5 a year for a premium membership and it said that was half price!

There is no way I wold buy this app and that is why I give it a 1 out of 5

Paper Camera is a camera app that makes the pictures you take look like paper. The effects are applied to the pictures as you take them instead going back and editing the pictures.

The drawbacks I found using this app were:

1. it is a little slow on my Droid X

2. it has limited camera function within the app, no zoom

3. After taking 2 pictures the app froze up on me and I had to manually shut it down

There are a few positive to this app as well:

1. I like the layout of the app

2. It's very simple and straight to the point

3. The effects actually look good

If you like taking pictures a lot with your phone, then I recommend definitely getting this app expescially for free. But on the other hand, if you don't really use your camera that much then I would not recommend it for the $1.99 price. But for free it is a fun app to play around with.

97.3 The Zone, The House United

Theres a new sports radio station in Birminghan called 97.3 The Zone. A guy at work told me about it this morning and I just have to find out more.
I was more than excited to find out that The Zone kicks off the morning with the voice of Alabama, Eli Gold and Auburn hero, Stan White. The Zone calls this morning show The House United. I really do not know too much about Stan whlte, but I have been listening to Eli Gold for years. So I'm hoping this will be a clean, fun sports talk radio show.
The sad thing about this show is that it is on the air at the same time as The Rick and Bubba Show. So, I know, at least for me, it will be hard to choose between the two.

Cartoon Defense App

Funny little game to play to pass the time. Very simple concept, basically there's a castle and people trying to attack it. You're given different variety of guns, bomb and missiles to help defend your castle with. At the end of each round you're given points to resupply with.
I don't believe you can waste too much time with this game. The levels are very repetitive only adding more enemies and some flying enemies. Cartoon Defense is a ga,me that I know I will get bored with very quickly and I will problem not see it through to any major levels in the game. I would recommend not paying for this app. You should get a free version of this game. Get it today for free at Amazon or get the free version with ads.

This is a very simple app to use. It opens to a page with a list of weeks and days. All you have to do is pick week 1, day 1 and start runng
If you follow the plan you will start out with a mix of walking for 60 seconds and jogging for 90 seconds for a total of 20 minutes at week 1. 9 weeks later you will find yourself only walking 5 minutes, but jogging 30 minutes.
Hitting the menu button on your phone takes you to the app settings. Here you'll find a list of different notification settings and a post to Facebook option. In the sound notifications section you will be given the choice to set a 1 minute time left alert, halfway alert, custom alert and a turnaround alert. You also have the choice to set a different sounds for each alert including  a default sound of a female voice and a male voice.
This is a simple straightforward easy to use app and I give it a 4 out of 5
I gave this app a 4 because it may be a little too simple for the $1.99 asking price. But if you get it today for free then I wold give it a 5 out of 5

Question : Can God create a rock so heavy that he could not move it?
My answer to this question is NO...
God can't create a rock so heavy that he could not move. Not because he is not all powerful, but because he is. You see God is all powerful, eternal and absolute. Nothing can be greater than him.
Take darkness for example, darkness is the absence of light and absolute darkness is the absence of all light. There can be nothing darker than absolute darkness for absolute darkness is as dark as it can be.
My point here is that God is all powerful and by being all powerful nothing can be greater than God. I will also add that he is all powerful so nothing to be equal with him without being him.
That is about as simple as I can make it.

Puptent's Log: Car vs Tree

Needless to say, the car lost...

On April 27 2011 a bad storm system came through central Alabama were I live. We had light storm damage compared to others in our state. But it did take out our car(96 Honda Civic) well my work car. My wifes suv was safe with us.

I have the money to replace the car but I am finding it hard to find a good deal. I had hoped to find a good 10 to 12 year old ex-cab full size truck for about $5000. But used car prices have jumped significantly in the past few months. It stinks but I can wait. I would rather have a good old paid off truck then one I have to make payment on.

Out of all the bible apps I have used so far You version seems to be the best for me. It has a free NIV "internet only" And you can download many other free bible translations to use offline. I like the New American Standard Version myself  (NASB)
This app has all the things you need, bookmarks, a places to make notes, devotionals and a reading plans. It also has a verse of the day widget and you can link verses and your notes to facebook and twitter. I give You Version Bible app a 5 out of 5

As some of you may know Netflix has changed their prices again.
New Prices:
Plan 1: Unlimited Streaming (no DVDs) for $7.99 a month Plan
2: Unlimited DVDs, 1 out at-a-time (no streaming), for $7.99 a month.
The price for getting both of these plans will be $15.98 a month.
For new members, these changes are effective immediately; for existing members, the new pricing will start for charges on or after September 1, 2011.

Movie Night: A First Class Night...

So the night started off at Carrabba's were we celebrated my wife's 27th birthday. She is a big fan of Italian food, but I do not care much for the olive garden, so being the wonderful person she is, she said we can go to Carrabba's. She had all her friends thereis and I think every one had a good time. There were a lot of people there and it was very hard to hear. The only people I could talk to were the ones sitting right beside me. Lucky for me it was Savannah "my wife " and my friend Drew and his Rachel. After Carrabba's my wife and her friends wanted to go see a movie. I was scared at first you never know what you could end up seeing. but i was very surprised when we ended up seeing x-men first class

The Good: The story was good the special effects were and it had all the things that make a good comic book movie.

The Bad: I have to say I think they went a little overboard on the sexual content. Not that there is any nudity in the movie, but that there were a lot of women in their underwear. This is not a x-men movie for the kids.

I am afraid I am going to have to give the move a 3 out of 5 for the sexual content and language. The people that make movies need to know that you do not need all that bad stuff to sale movies or to entertain people. Well I guess that's all I am going to say for now.

I got the Netflixs app for my DROID X back when it came out. And I have been killing time with it ever scene.
I found the app to be very useful and handy. It looks good and is easy to use.
Much sadness comes in the fact that there is only one Star Trek move... and not one episode...Not One.
For a company that said they are going to be Streaming Only soon, I would like to see some more good old movies and tv shows.

Puptent's Log: Tired or Lazy?

I am sorry that I have not posted anything in some time. I do not know if it is that I am lazy or just tired. For the past two months I have just felt like crap! I really have not felt like not doing anything. Like going to church reading the Bible or any book, cleaning the house, cutting the grass on and on....

Well I need to snap out of it and I mean now! It's just not right. All I am doing is letting everyone down, God, my wife and my self.

Well the best time to start is now.

I have been using Old Spice Fiji for about a month now and all I can say is you have to go and pick some up for yourself. It not only works good but the smell is amazing!
It might be a over processed and a little bad for my skin but I have to give it a 4 out of 5

This is the second time that i have tried this drink and... it is good. it gives you a boost of energy, in fact my wife said that i was shaking a little so it might be a little to much. but unlike most energy drinks it taste good too.

The Village: Cowgirl Kitchen

Today we decided to go eat at the Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary Beach. I looked over the menu hanging out side and decided to go with the breakfast calzone. Savannah said that everyone online said it was good. So when I went to order the man said that they do not have the calzone any more. Anyone that knows me knows that when I finally make my mind up about what I would like it is not a good thing to throw me a curve ball like this. Savannah had placed her order so I needed to pick fast so...

The Village: Beach Lights

The Village of South Walton, Day 2

Tonight we went out riding the bikes the we rented to see Rosemary Beach at night. I was surprised to see that there are not that many street light so it is hard to see at night. Are first stop was to see the main pool and it was nice. If it was a little warmer we would have jumped in. After that we road down to Alys Beach and back to Rosemary Beach. It was getting to be 9pm and every thing was closed so we headed back to the condo.

The Village: Movie Night?

After getting back from the beach we decided to get some drinks (coca-cola and dr pepper) and a redbox movie at wind-dixie down the road. Well me cell signal was not good at all at the store and it was hard to ask Savannah any questions about what kind of drink she wanted (diet or caffeine free) but after walking out of the store one or two times I had what I needed, well all but the movie. When I got to the redbox it was out of order so I checked the redbox app on my phone and all the other redbox kiosk were not working so I had to go back empty handed.

It was not a big loss. We just watched some tv and ate our leftovers and decided to ride our bikes when it got dark.
